With all my paintings, my process is entirely intuitive drawing inspiration through my exploration of color, texture, and pattern to create a visual story. I respond to what inspires me at the moment. I could be drawn to a particular color, shape, line, or just stumbling on a new technique I want to explore further. I love to work in transparent layers, often layering in hand printed papers and tissue. I love the sense of mystery and history they provide of what lies beneath.
